One-on-one sessions help you:
1. Develop and maintain a consistent sitting practice.
2. Set meditative goals (for on and off the cushion).
3. Incorporate meditation into your daily life.
4. Develop compassion for yourself and others.

They’re also a lot of fun! They last 45 minutes (the first session is an hour for new meditation clients). The beginning of each session focuses on what’s going on in your life and how to apply mindfulness meditation techniques. The last part (approximately 10 minutes) is guided practice.

Unlike hypnoanalysis sessions, during which I take notes, you will be the record-keeper for all meditation sessions. We’ll use your notes to review and set new goals as we progress.

You can have a session every week, come once a month, or check in when it feels right. The only requirements are that you truly want to learn to meditate in a hands-on way (these sessions are not theoretical) and that you want to delve into your life instead of shake it off.

Each session is
$50. The initial hour session is $65 for new meditation students. Sessions are also available for 2 people (perfect for couples and friends), for a cost of $65/45 minutes and $80/initial hour. I have the cushions and can provide a chair if that is preferable.

How to prepare for each session:
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
  • Bring your meditation notebook, a calendar, and something to write with.
  • Bring water, if you like.
  • If you’re prone to being cold, bring a throw.

Here's what a first-time meditator says about individual sessions:

"Bekki is a gifted teacher and the one-on-one format for meditation has
been perfect for me. I don't feel self-conscious, I'm not distracted by
the presence of other people, and I have plenty of time to ask all the
questions I need to without feeling that I am taking up another
classmate's time. My free time is limited and I love that I can fully
experience, learn and practice my lessons without it turning into yet
another thing I 'should do' every week."
