We all have many, many lessons to
learn, and one lifetime just doesn’t seem enough time to take
everything in. People who believe in reincarnation think that only
the physical body experiences death, while the mind (with its
memories, impressions, etc.) continues on to the next
incarnation—the next new body. This cycle of rebirth is believed to
provide opportunities to bring about self-realization—many chances
to incorporate the lessons that each existence offers.
While you do not have to be 100% certain that we reincarnate in order to experience a past life regression, you do have to be 100% open to the idea of reincarnation. Curiosity brought about my first past life regression. I knew something about reincarnation but only a little about hypnosis—I simply wanted to see what a past life regression was like. What I experienced amazed me, and I went home to let it all sink in. Then, as I periodically explored other lives, I began to see that not only were past life regressions fun, but they allowed me to see patterns—patterns of behaviors that I’ve been dealing with for lifetimes.
By examining these patterns, I began to understand why some things come easily to me and why other things, seemingly simple things, continue to stump, frustrate, and elude me. This understanding of myself (and my selves) began to foster an enhanced sense of compassion—I am doing the best that I can based on my past experiences, as others are doing their best. This does not mean that I excuse unwanted behaviors in myself; it means that I simply understand myself better. And self-understanding is the first step in changing behaviors.
So it doesn’t matter whether you believe that we have many lives or that we have one eternal life split up into many lifetimes, or if you’re just not sure; a past life regression provides an opportunity for you to explore your past so that you can better understand your present. Hypnosis is used as a means to enter the receptive state necessary to explore a past life. While in this state, you can gain insights into many things, such as why you’re drawn to certain places, people, jobs, destructive behaviors, types of relationships, etc. Gaining these and other insights is a great step toward mastering the life lessons designed for you this time around.

How do I know that I’m not making up information about a past life?
The best answer I have for this is,
why would you? If you’re coming for a regression therapy to
experience a truth, you will not make something up. I’m certain
that some people have made up information about all sorts of
subjects, but rest assured, if you’re coming with pure intention,
you won’t suddenly start to make things up.
But it seems like it’s all made up—like a story.
This I understand. Everybody
experiences past lives differently. And you’d think that the more
accustomed to experiencing past life regressions you become, the
“clearer” you experience regressions, but not necessarily.
Sometimes I experience things so clearly during a regression that
it’s like a movie playing; other times I see or feel or sense only
snippets of images or feelings.
So the times that you might feel as though your regression is like a story is most likely a time that you’re experiencing a life fluidly—be thankful for those times that seem to flow like a story. And if you’re new at regressions, you will likely experience the past life that you most need to experience (our inner knowledge always shows us the life we need to see). This past life is a poignant “message” for our current life, and might be rendered vividly.
Another thing that affects how vividly we experience past lives is the type of learner that we are in this life and the type we were in the past life. For example, if you’re a visual learner in this life and you’re experiencing a past life in which you were also a visual learner, you have a good chance of accessing that life very clearly. If, however, you’re a strong visual learner in this life and you access a past life in which you were a strong auditory learner, the two modes may render a more snippet-like experience.

What if I see something that I don’t like?
The concept of reincarnation is that
we better ourselves through incarnations, so if you were to examine
even a few of your lives, you will see things—maybe many
things—that you don’t like about your past existences. But thank
goodness those things are in the past! We’ve all done bad things,
but we move on and grow.
If something is extremely troubling, you can detach from the experience immediately. If you’re doing a private session with me, I can easily guide you to float above the scene or move away from it in some other way. Most clients, however, do eventually feel comfortable with seeing themselves, warts and all, as a means to grow.

Can you be another sex or race in a past life?
Most definitely. Edgar Cayce said
that of all the people with whom he worked that only one person (a
woman) had been only one sex, and that she was having an extremely
difficult time in her relationships with men! So, yes, through
experiences of many, many kinds we have opportunities to develop
compassion for others who are different from our current
selves.
I’m not good at picturing things, so I’m afraid that I won’t “see” anything.
Again, everybody experiences things
differently. One of the top regression therapists I know has never
seen one thing during a regression, but she has a sense of knowing
that guides her to fully experience her past lives. All types of
receptivity are of equal value.
One of the most interesting regressions I did was with somebody who accessed things via the olfactory sense—she literally sniffed her way through the regression! So whatever works—we’ll figure out how you process things and take it from there.

How much does a past life regression cost?
The cost is the same as for any
hypnotherapy session—$150.
